This contributes to the stability of your instrument, in spite of climatic changes according to the seasons or when travelling. Over many years K Yairi has bought in wood with provisions for decades ahead, never using 'green' wood that is not mature. The truth is that a guitar made with wood not properly seasoned will 'move' and will not be stable in tuning and pitch. And is likely to split.
